Jones/Whites CreekThe trail follows a jeep road for about .5 mile, then crosses Jones Creek. At the junction, turn right to start the loop trail in a counter-clockwise direction. The trail climbs gradually and enter Whites canyon while turning sharply west. Continue for about 1.5 miles. After leaving Mt. Rose Wilderness, the trail turns west, crosses the creek and heads west. The trail then climbs onto an 8,000' ridge with great views. The main trail continues east until the junction of the trail leading back to the trailhead. Make a right at this junction. MOUNTAIN BIKING IS PERMITTED ON THIS TRAIL OUTSIDE OF MT. ROSE WILDERNESS ONLY! Dogs must be leashed within Galena Creek Park. |
